The pandemic of 2020 and 2021 resulted in many of our clients working remotely with us, and this trend continues post-pandemic.
Transitioning from in-office visits to working with us remotely to prepare and file your tax returns can be an easy process. We have learned a lot over the last three tax seasons. In the beginning there were challenges that were a bit overwhelming for us. We did not have a well-defined process in place to let clients know in a step-by-step way how things should go.
Step-by-Step Process
- Client uploads source documents to our portal
- Front office personnel pull client file, issue Control Card and assign to Preparer
- NEW – Client should schedule a 15-minute telephone call 48 hours after uploading documents
- Preparer will upload results to portal for client review
- We will send e-file authorization form by email for client to sign electronically
- Once returns are acknowledged as accepted, we will upload finalized copies to portal
We are refining our processes and will be sending a newsletter in the coming weeks.

We can provide an electronic Tax Organizer if you have a Windows desktop or laptop to install it on. It is very lightweight and easy to use. The Organizer shows the prior year numbers and allows you to enter the current year number for each item that was on your prior year return, without asking 100 questions that are not applicable to you.
