Tax Filing Process and Turnaround Time

Whether you physically come into the office or submit your data to us from half-way around the world, our turn-around time is best in class.

Our tax filing process has changed over the years and the steps involved from start to finish can be summarized as follows.

Our conference room becomes our ERO Center during tax season
Our conference room becomes our ERO Center during tax season. All electronic transmissions occur from this single point.

First, you provide all of the information pertaining to income and deductions while we question and analyze your specific circumstances to ensure we take advantage of every tax break available to you under the tax code. If the client comes in for an appointment this involves an interview process face to face with one of our agents. If you send your information to us digitally or paper, we will use telephone, email, fax and our portal for the questions.

Second, we provide the outcome to you for review and approval to efile the returns. At this point we actually put the brakes on and create an intentional 24 hour delay. This gives our clients an opportunity to think about everything and ask any further questions or inform us of anything they failed to provide earlier.

Third, we transmit the returns electronically to the federal and state governments. Generally we receive an acknowledgement that the returns have been accepted within 24 to 48 hours.

Finally, once we’ve received the acceptance acknowledgements from the taxing authorities we will either print your copies to pdf files and upload them to our secure portal or print paper copies and mail them to you.

On average, it is a 5 day wrap up, 8 days if you receive paper mail from us.
