Extended Office Hours End this Week

Although the federal tax filing deadline has been delayed for 30 days, our schedule will revert to After Tax-Season hours on April 16th.

The Covid Pandemic has wreaked havoc in so many lives for the past year. We are so fortunate that it has not touched us at the office in any way other than causing extra work-loads on all of the staff members, some delays in getting our work done and inconveniences in our day-to-day routines. We have been blessed beyond measure amid the challenges we have faced.

Planning Your Annual Visit To See Us

If you are 1 of the approximately 300 clients who will be filing during this 30 day extension, please help us by doing one or both of the following.

In a normal year, we file 200 tax returns per week during our tax-season extended hours, but this is not a normal year. My primary concern this past week has been, planning for the work load in the coming days. With your help and cooperation I know we can accommodate everyone who has been unable to meet the normal April 15th filing deadline due to no fault of their own.

I sincerely hope that if you are reading this Sunday Morning Update of mine and have not yet sent your information or scheduled an appointment, that you will take action this week. If you are unable to heed my words of caution, please call (256) 586-4111 or email to request that we file an extension for you. The Automatic Extension to October 15th is still available to anyone that cannot meet the May 17th deadline.

But remember, the October Extension is an extension of time to file, not an extension of time to pay. If you have a balance due in October when you file, you will be assessed interest and penalties. Interest and penalties can be avoided by sending a prepayment with the extension.
