Each month, I receive a report that shows how many people called the office by clicking my telephone number from Google (102 calls last month). The report also tells me how many people ask for directions to the office (61 last month). We had 110 visits to our website from our Business Profile on Google. The business had 624 Profile Views, and we were searched for 128 times.
My Jumbo Jet Analogy
I’ve often expressed my feelings about the busy time of Tax Season by comparing it to an airplane flight. The hardest part is taking off and landing. It is so true. We experience many small and large difficulties as the season kicks off. Then as the deadline approaches, we experience a mad rush of panicking people.
If anything is going to break at the office, it usually happens just as we begin to stress everything to limits that none of our people or equipment will see again until this time rolls around next year.
Telephones, computers, network appliances, software programs and yes, even people get pushed to extremes as our busy time gets underway. Then as we adjust to the pace, things become easier and more routine. It is like being on auto-pilot until we reach the last week in March. The speed of everything accelerates like the last turn in a foot race on a one-mile track.
