I&#8217;m sorry, but if you break the law, and especially if there is so much irrefutable evidence that you broke the law that there is no reasonable doubt of your actions, well it just doesn&#8217;t matter who&#8217;s leading the prosecution or why.<\/p>\n<h3>When I read that <em>&#8220;Hubbard was being prosecuted for standing up to Obama&#8221;<\/em> I laughed out loud.<\/h3>\n<blockquote><p>His team of lawyers argued that Hubbard&#8217;s transactions were legal because they were carried out between longtime friends. Well that should make it okay! As laughable as that argument sounds, I fully understand they made it because there is verbiage in the ethics law that references it. Hubbard held office from 1998 to 2016.
