We will be filing extensions that day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When we electronically file a tax return, it takes 24-48 hours to receive the acknowledgement of acceptance or rejection notice from the federal and state governments. Should a return REJECT for any number of reasons, we have 5 days to mail the signed paper returns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><br><em>Because my office will be closed April 16-21 (we will reopen Monday April 22), we will be unable to meet that requirement.<\/em><\/p><cite>Gregory J.
